Social Media Specialist

About the role

Genius is looking for a Social Media Specialist to own and grow its Instagram presence while extending content to TikTok, Facebook, and X. You will create compelling visual stories, manage a content calendar, and help monetize the channels in line with revenue goals.

Key responsibilities

• Create and source high‑quality videos, images, and stories that match Genius’s brand voice.
• Stay ahead of trends and develop creative concepts to keep the Instagram audience engaged.
• Maintain and update a cross‑platform content calendar.
• Collaborate with content, sales, product, and marketing teams to produce on‑brand visuals and messaging.
• Use Hootsuite for scheduling, sourcing, and reporting on social media performance.
• Grow the Instagram channel to meet 2026 KPIs and revenue projections.
• Collect and analyze content data to optimize revenue streams and audience health.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of social media management experience on the brand or agency side.
• Deep passion for music, especially hip‑hop culture, and knowledge of current artists and fandom behavior.
• Ability to identify emerging artists across major genres.
• Creative thinker with strong storytelling and visual design instincts.
• Understanding of platform‑specific trends, audience behavior, and best practices.
