SMD Operator – Electronics Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an SMD Operator to run our automated Pick & Place line in an electronics manufacturing environment. The role involves operating the machine, loading components, and ensuring product quality while supporting other production areas as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Run the Pick & Place SMD line and associated inspection systems.
• Load the correct components and follow work instructions to produce quality parts.
• Identify and act on any quality issues, collaborating with QA and the Production Manager.
• Maintain machine efficiency by minimizing downtime and improving change‑over processes.
• Meet production cycle‑time targets and support continuous improvement.
• Follow safety standards and maintain a safe work environment.
• Troubleshoot basic machine errors with support from training.

Required profile

• Experience in electronics manufacturing (EMS) and preferably prior work on SMD lines.
• Willingness to learn and assist in testing, assembly, warehouse receiving, picking and packing.
• Good English communication skills to understand work instructions.
• Dedicated, result‑oriented, team‑player mindset.

Required skills

• Operation of automated Pick & Place SMD equipment.
• Use of inspection systems for surface‑mount devices.
• Basic troubleshooting of machine errors.
• Understanding of machine interface and electronics manufacturing processes.
