Small to Midsize Strategy Leader - Clinical Data

About the role

Veeva Systems is looking for a Strategy Leader to grow its Clinical Data business with leading pharmaceutical companies. The role focuses on small to midsize customers, driving adoption of Veeva’s Electronic Data Capture (EDC) and Data Quality System (DQS) solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and sustain the customer base for Clinical Data across emerging to mid‑size companies.
• Develop and execute a market vision and tailored approach for small internal teams.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders in pharma, CROs, and technology partners.
• Leverage professional networks to facilitate product adoption.
• Create value‑oriented materials for emerging and mid‑size sponsors.
• Provide thought leadership, sales support, and business/technology guidance to product teams.
• Stay current with industry trends and address customer business challenges.
• Lead special Clinical Data projects as assigned.

Required profile

• 7+ years in clinical research or healthcare data flow.
• Customer‑facing experience in a product company, CRO, or sponsor, ideally in sales or positioning.
• Experience creating study pipelines and selling technology on a study‑by‑study basis.
• Industry data‑management or consulting background.
• Strong communication, creative thinking, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to innovate across business processes and technology solutions.
• Ability to discuss Clinical Data adoption with business and IT executives.
• Understanding of clinical data trends, global product development, trial processes, and regulations.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings and presentations.
• Strong project‑management capability to prioritize high‑impact work.
