About the role
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking a Skilled Tradesman to join its Mechanical Department. This full‑time position focuses on the maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across campus facilities.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, install, and alter HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing HVAC work.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate service records.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of HVAC trade school training or equivalent education.
- Valid HVAC license or certification as required by ACA 17‑33‑301.
- EPA Section 608 Universal Refrigerant certification.
Required skills
- HVAC system maintenance and repair.
- Refrigeration system knowledge.
- EPA Section 608 certification.
