Shift Lead

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Shift Lead to join our restaurant team. You will be the face of the dining experience, ensuring guests receive friendly, attentive service throughout their visit and that the restaurant runs smoothly during your shift.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, take food and beverage orders, and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Anticipate guest needs, note preferences, and address any issues with empathy, escalating to a manager when necessary.
• Maintain full knowledge of pastry, bread, kitchen, beverage, and retail items.
• Prepare drinks for the dining room as needed.
• Complete opening, mid‑shift, and closing procedures, including daily checklists and side‑work assignments.
• Handle cash and receipts according to cash‑handling policy.
• Keep all restaurant areas clean and organized, following cleaning checklists.
• Assist with patio setup and maintenance of outdoor seating when applicable.

Required profile

• 3‑6 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Flexibility in schedule preferred.
• Ability to be cross‑trained in all dining room and retail areas.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.

Required skills

• Experience with POS systems, preferably Toast.
