SH&E Facility Manager

About the role

The SH&E Facility Manager is a key member of the Site Leadership Team, responsible for protecting employee safety and advancing environmental sustainability. The role drives a zero‑incident culture, ensures compliance with corporate policies and external regulations, and supports efficient, low‑cost operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a safety, health and environmental culture across the site, ensuring zero incidents are achievable.
• Partner with site leadership to define SH&E priorities, KPIs and drive performance improvement aligned with corporate strategies.
• Maintain continuous audit‑ready compliance with internal policies and external regulations, overseeing management‑of‑change processes.
• Develop and implement best‑in‑class SH&E programs, training and risk‑assessment processes, and lead incident investigations using NCE tools.
• Coach site supervisors and cross‑functional teams to become effective SH&E leaders and build internal talent.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or SH&E related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of SH&E experience, including recent role as a site SH&E leader.
• Professional certifications such as CIH, NEBOSH, CSP or CEM are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations and ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Proven ability to drive organizational change and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of LEAN and TPM concepts.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 implementation.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulatory requirements.
