Service Technician – Student Living Property

About the role
Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of The Oliver student living community in Washington. The role ensures buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
- Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
- Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
- Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
- Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
- Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using materials and tools efficiently.
Required profile
- Ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately.
- Capable of working independently and coordinating with vendors and contractors.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, lift equipment and work in various weather conditions.
