Service Technician – Ascend at Pena Station

About the role

The Service Technician supports the physical upkeep of Greystar’s properties, ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues in residential properties.
• Experience with make‑ready turnover processes and vendor coordination.
• Strong attention to detail for documentation and inventory management.
• Commitment to safety procedures and teamwork.
