Server Assistant – Part Time (Up to $1,000/week)

About the role

Au Cheval New York, part of the Hogsalt restaurant group, is seeking a dedicated Part‑Time Server Assistant. You will work alongside servers and front‑of‑house staff to ensure a smooth, welcoming dining experience for every guest.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations before service and maintain them throughout the shift.
• Assist servers with table maintenance, including wiping, resetting, and providing water service.
• Remove unused items, package leftovers, and address guest needs promptly.
• Follow safety and allergy protocols, and communicate any issues to leadership.
• Complete closing side‑work, general cleaning, and any additional tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience in a fast‑paced, full‑service restaurant.
• Open availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift items up to 50 lb during shifts.
• Positive attitude, passion for hospitality, and commitment to Hogsalt’s values of harmony, accountability, and resilience.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of restaurant service standards and food safety procedures.
