Serials & Electronic Resources Manager – Librarian III

About the role

Tarleton State University seeks a dedicated Serial & Electronic Resources Manager (Librarian III) to lead the Serials & E‑Resources division of its University Library. The role supports faculty, staff and students by ensuring seamless acquisition, processing and access to both print and digital library materials.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the Serials & E‑Resources division, including acquisition, receipt, processing and access of library materials.
• Manage subscription renewals, licensing agreements and vendor relationships for print and electronic titles.
• Provide reference and support to faculty, staff and students for serials and electronic resources.
• Serve as Campus Security Authority (CSA) and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Collaborate with the Associate Director of Access & Collection Services and other library units.

Required profile

• Graduate‑level education in Library and Information Science or a related field.
• Experience managing serials and electronic resources in an academic library setting.
• Knowledge of licensing, metadata standards and electronic resource platforms.
• Ability to work on‑site in Stephenville, Texas, Monday‑Friday, typical 8 am‑5 pm schedule.
