Sensory & Product Experience Specialist

About the role

Join Nestlé’s Development Center in Marysville to lead sensory and consumer research for coffee and coffee‑enhancing products. You will work with cross‑functional teams to generate insights that guide product innovation and renovation, ensuring a consumer‑centric approach.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver sensory product insights to innovation and renovation projects as a partner to project managers and cross‑functional teams.
• Design, execute, analyze, and present sensory and consumer studies, including statistical analysis and DoE.
• Build competitive intelligence linking consumer trends to business strategy.
• Coach technicians, panel leaders, and interns to continuously improve research methods.
• Collaborate with global teams in the US, Switzerland and Singapore to create a cohesive Sensory & Product Experience function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Psychology or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Three or more years of experience in consumer and sensory research.
• Strong knowledge of statistics and ability to analyse Design of Experiments studies.
• Experience in the coffee or beverage category is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and travel 10‑15% domestically and internationally.

• MS‑Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
