Senior Test Planning Engineer – Assembly

About the role

As a Senior Test Planning Engineer – Assembly you will be responsible for planning, drafting and obtaining approval of SPARC Assembly test products, including test campaigns, plans, instructions and procedures, to accelerate key project milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and document specialized test methods for high‑voltage, high‑energy and other hazardous verification scenarios.
• Write clear, version‑controlled technical procedures and test instructions.
• Conduct project risk analysis to balance schedule gains with safety and quality.
• Generate and review test procedures, ensuring scope clarity and risk mitigation for engineering and technician teams.
• Lead troubleshooting actions and evaluate root causes for test anomalies.
• Maintain software proficiency with the SPARC Assembly workflow management system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of engineering experience, including hazardous and high‑voltage electrical testing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and perform physical tasks such as standing, stooping and climbing for extended periods.
• On‑site availability five days per week, with possible shift rotation.
• Experience working in environments with industrial hazards (heat, cold, noise, strong magnets, high current, cryogenics, etc.).

Required skills

• High‑voltage electrical testing.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam or Acrobat, and 3D modeling programs.
• Software proficiency in SPARC Assembly workflow management.
