Senior Tax Analyst – Corporate Provision & Reporting

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join its corporate tax team in New York. The role focuses on preparing the company’s tax provision, SEC disclosures and supporting the consolidated US federal tax return. The position operates in a hybrid model, three days on‑site each week.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate corporate income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
• Prepare tax footnote disclosures for Forms 10‑Q and 10‑K.
• Support the global tax provision process, including regional submissions and analytics.
• Maintain and reconcile tax balances in the financial statements.
• Assist with the preparation and review of the consolidated US federal tax return and related adjustments.
• Perform monthly and quarterly tax account reconciliations and ensure Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
• Research technical tax issues and communicate their impact.
• Identify and implement process improvements and efficiency opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Experience in large corporate or Big 4 tax provision and reporting.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work with large data sets and frame business questions.
