About the role
We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to act as the technical authority for our core infrastructure and security platforms. This remote position is ideal for a professional who enjoys designing, securing, and operating enterprise systems while mentoring staff and collaborating with IT leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise Windows and Linux infrastructure.
- Own core services such as Active Directory/Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, virtualization, storage, and certificate management.
- Implement security controls, patching, and least‑privilege access policies.
- Support SOC 2 compliance and penetration testing with hands‑on contributions.
- Automate tasks using PowerShell and Bash to improve reliability.
- Design and validate backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery solutions.
- Serve as escalation point for complex incidents and conduct root‑cause analysis.
- Mentor IT support staff and provide technical leadership across the organization.
Required profile
- 5+ years of enterprise systems administration experience.
- Strong background with Windows Server; experience with VMware and Veeam is preferred.
- Solid networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP); SonicWall knowledge a plus.
- Experience with monitoring and incident response tools, preferably ManageEngine.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and hybrid identity environments.
- Ability to work independently in a regulated or compliance‑driven environment.
