Senior Systems Administrator – Amazon Connect

About the role

TekSynap is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to manage and support cloud‑native infrastructure that powers mission‑critical telecommunication services. The role focuses on AWS‑hosted services, especially Amazon Connect, and requires strong Linux and AWS GovCloud expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support AWS services such as Connect, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail and Splunk.
• Provision, configure, monitor and patch Linux‑based virtual machines in AWS GovCloud.
• Manage telephony workloads in Amazon Connect, ensuring high availability, security and performance.
• Implement system hardening, encryption, IAM roles, VPC, security groups and MFA to meet federal security standards.
• Automate infrastructure using CloudFormation, Ansible or Terraform.
• Support secure backup/recovery processes and align with continuity and audit requirements.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices alongside cloud developers.
• Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies and serve in an on‑call rotation for incident response.

Required profile

• Active Secret Clearance (U.S. citizen required).
• 7+ years of Linux system administration experience.
• 3+ years of AWS cloud infrastructure experience, preferably in GovCloud or similar secure environments.
• Deep knowledge of Amazon Connect operations, call flow configuration, Contact Lens, and integration with AWS Lex/Lambda.
