Senior Substation Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer on Revamp's High Voltage Substation team, you will act as a subject‑matter expert in substation design, focusing on protection & control and physical design. You will lead QA/QC reviews, mentor junior engineers, and support client engagements to advance clean‑energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical design and QA/QC reviews for protection & control and physical substation scopes, redlining drawings and ensuring consistency.
• Serve as a client‑facing technical resource, answering technical questions and representing Revamp’s engineering standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with structural, civil, and studies teams to maintain design standards.
• Perform field visits (≈10% travel) to validate designs and ensure constructability.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience, specifically in substation design.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables with limited oversight.

Required skills

• Protection & Control (P&C) and physical substation design expertise.
• Advanced QA/QC review and drawing redline skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Substation Design Suite tools.
