Senior Software Engineer, AI Growth

About the role

Sanity is building an AI‑powered Content Operating System that lets teams model, create and automate content. As a Senior Software Engineer, AI Growth you will help create the full vertical for AI‑native development, from advancing the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server to shipping agentic tools that generate Sanity apps and front‑ends.

Key responsibilities

• Advance the MCP server with new capabilities, tools and integrations.
• Build agentic developer tools that can scaffold Sanity apps, studios and full‑stack front‑ends.
• Design and run evaluation suites using Braintrust to catch regressions and measure improvements.
• Create rich React interfaces on top of the MCP protocol for platforms like ChatGPT and Claude.
• Move across the stack daily, from designing MCP tools to polishing React components or deploying micro‑services.
• Apply prompt‑engineering techniques to diagnose model failures and improve performance.
• Ship production‑ready AI features in clean, well‑tested TypeScript.
• Collaborate closely with design, product and engineering teammates.

Required profile

• Based in Remote US or San Francisco/Bay Area (hybrid work with at least two office days if local).
• Strong TypeScript, React and Node.js expertise, comfortable moving between front‑end and back‑end.
• Experience shipping AI‑powered code to production using OpenAI, Anthropic or Vercel AI SDKs.
• Active user of MCP servers in your workflow, preferably having built one.
• Deep familiarity with the current AI landscape (Claude, Gemini, GPT models) and related tooling.
• Curious, experimental mindset and strong intuition for prompt engineering.
• Clear communicator who works well with designers and product managers.
