Senior Snowflake Platform Engineer

About the role

Praxis is expanding the engineering team behind the data foundation that powers its commercial organization. As a Senior Snowflake Platform Engineer you will own the reliability, governance, security, and cost transparency of the Snowflake environment as data operations scale. You will work closely with Data Engineering, Security, Identity, AWS, and commercial technology partners to ensure critical data is available, protected, and ready for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Own Snowflake platform operations and health across development, test, and production environments.
• Design and automate role‑based access, object ownership, grants, and access‑lifecycle controls.
• Drive platform reliability, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement durable solutions.
• Build production support practices with monitoring, runbooks, escalation paths, and recovery procedures.
• Manage and optimize Snowflake consumption, forecasting usage and controlling costs.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience with data platforms, cloud engineering or data engineering, with hands‑on Snowflake production experience.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for automation and troubleshooting.
• Deep knowledge of Snowflake security, roles, grants, warehouses, tasks, and telemetry.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
