Senior Service Technician – Solara Vista & Esteban Park

About the role

The Senior Service Technician ensures that all physical aspects of the property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This role supports resident satisfaction through timely repairs, preventative maintenance, and preparation of vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance by diagnosing issues and repairing in accordance with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, track usage, and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and amenity upkeep, such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.

Required profile

• Compliance with Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, including participation in safety meetings and completion of OSHA training.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including on‑call duties during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance), and work in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• EPA Type 1 refrigerant certification.
• EPA Type II or Universal refrigerant certification.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
• Preventive maintenance procedures.
• Make‑ready preparation for vacant units.
