Senior Robotics Engineer

About the role

Sabanto is building a robotic platform that brings autonomy to agricultural equipment. As a Senior Robotics Engineer you will design and develop the vehicle platform that enables tractors and other farm machines to operate autonomously in real‑world field conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and test robotics navigation, safety, control and sequencing systems.
• Triage, reproduce and resolve issues with robotics systems observed in the field.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites to observe and refine robotics systems.
• Write tested, hardened and safe code for production deployment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, robotics or a related field.
• Strong quantitative, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Entrepreneurial attitude with keen attention to detail.
• Organized, disciplined and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Willingness to learn to drive tractors or other four‑wheel equipment.
• Interest in agriculture and understanding of farmer needs.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python.
• Proficiency in C++.
• Experience with ROS and ROS2.
• Working knowledge of geospatial data.
• Experience integrating perception or vision systems.
