Senior Research Compliance Administrator

About the role

The Senior Research Compliance Administrator will serve as the subject‑matter expert for research compliance across the Texas A&M University System. Reporting to the Research Compliance Office leadership, this role ensures that human subjects, animal research, biohazards, financial conflicts of interest, research misconduct, and emerging areas such as AI in research are managed in accordance with system policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and oversee compliance programs for human subjects, animal research, biohazards, financial conflicts of interest, research misconduct, and AI‑related research.
• Conduct programmatic reviews, post‑approval monitoring, and develop recommendations to improve compliance processes.
• Serve as liaison between system members, external stakeholders, and compliance committees to address questions, concerns, and incidents.
• Coordinate, plan, and deliver training activities, seminars, newsletters, and electronic communications.
• Manage project timelines, schedule site visits, review approved protocols, and prepare compliance reports for system leadership.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in research compliance within a higher‑education or research institution.
• Demonstrated knowledge of regulations governing human subjects, animal research, biohazards, financial conflicts of interest, and research misconduct.
• Strong project‑management and reporting abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
