Senior React Native Engineer – Fantasy Sports

About the role

Join Sleeper’s core fantasy sports team to shape the mobile experience for millions of fans. You will own the development of a high‑traffic React Native app that powers season‑long leagues, drafts, live scoring and social interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers to translate user requirements into technical specifications.
• Write clean, maintainable code using React Native, TypeScript, React Query, React Navigation and Reanimated.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance, socket, and data‑caching issues.
• Build reusable UI components and maintain a well‑structured component hierarchy.
• Integrate front‑end features with back‑end services via RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Stay current with React Native advancements, mobile best practices and accessibility standards.

Required profile

• Active fantasy‑sports player with a passion for product improvement.
• 4+ years of mobile app development, primarily with React Native.
• Proven ability to design and ship large‑scale features and algorithms.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment within a large codebase.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range of $180,000 – $235,000 USD per year.
