Senior Project Engineer – Transportation Infrastructure

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead engineering, scheduling, procurement, and construction activities for road and highway infrastructure projects across Southern California. The role supports multiple Caltrans and regional projects, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scope, schedule, and budget for engineering work and monitor progress.
• Coordinate technical disciplines, procurement, and construction planning for road and highway projects.
• Review work for compliance with codes, standards, and quality requirements.
• Manage technical personnel, conduct performance evaluations, and provide training.
• Assist the Project Manager with fiscal and administrative functions and act as deputy when needed.

Required profile

• 4‑year degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in road/highway and infrastructure projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in any U.S. state and ability to obtain California PE within one year.
• Previous supervisory experience in a project engineering role.
