Senior Product Designer

About the role

Design at CodeRabbit sits at the intersection of craft, developer empathy, and deep technical complexity. As our Product Designer you will shape how millions of developers experience AI‑powered code review across IDEs, Git platforms, the CLI, and the web—surfaces with few established conventions where the right interaction pattern hasn’t been invented yet.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end design, driving the full process from research and information architecture through high‑fidelity visual design and occasional implementation for the AI code review platform.
• Craft beautiful, trustworthy interfaces that make complex code analysis feel effortless and earn developers’ trust in AI‑generated suggestions.
• Define interaction patterns, micro‑interactions, and motion for emerging AI experiences such as real‑time review, conversational feedback, and agentic workflows.
• Build and scale a comprehensive design system across Web, IDE extensions, Git platforms, and CLI surfaces.
• Design clear visualizations and information architecture for code quality metrics, dependency graphs, and AI‑generated insights.
• Partner cross‑functionally with engineering, product, and AI teams to define vision, strategy, and roadmap while shipping high‑quality work quickly.
• Stay close to the AI model, designing for future capabilities and prototyping rapidly to communicate concepts.
• Raise the team’s craft by establishing design best practices and elevating quality and consistency across product flows.

Required profile

• Exceptional visual and interaction design expertise, mastering typography, layout, color, hierarchy, motion, and interaction details.
• Ability to ship fast while maintaining high craft, delivering work to users quickly rather than perfecting for months.
• AI‑native mindset, using AI tools as creative partners in the design process.
• Willingness to rethink UI primitives and invent patterns native to AI and developer tools.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, influencing without authority and lifting teammates’ work.
