Senior Procurement Category Management Specialist – Packaging (Remote)

About the role

Nestlé Health Science is looking for a senior professional to lead the procurement strategy for key packaging categories supporting its U.S. business. The role manages a $50‑$70 million spend, develops category strategies, negotiates supplier agreements and drives cost savings, innovation and supply continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement long‑term category strategies and annual sourcing plans for packaging spend.
• Execute market research, negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance to deliver value.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and track savings in partnership with Finance.
• Proactively manage risk and collaborate with supply‑planning teams to resolve supply issues.
• Support new product launches, technology initiatives and transformation projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Food Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in packaging procurement (corrugate, cartons, labels, flexible, rigid containers, closures).
• Strong background in sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiation within food, pharmaceutical or nutraceutical industries.
• Proven ability to work across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience with Oracle ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Project management and organizational skills.
