Senior Platform Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced engineer to join as the third member of our Platform team. The team builds the resources and tooling that let engineers develop and run services securely, reliably, and at scale, including AI‑focused tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure reliability of core services such as PostgreSQL on RDS, ECS services, CI/CD pipelines, and the OpenTelemetry observability stack on Datadog.
• Drive security initiatives that reduce risk while keeping friction low for developers.
• Create and share tools and best‑practice guidelines that empower engineers to do their best work.
• Define and influence standards for non‑functional requirements across the organization.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to gather requirements and spread knowledge.
• Build the platform for AI development, from LLM tooling and guardrails to the infrastructure behind AI‑powered features.

Required profile

• 6+ years of platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps experience.
• Proven incident‑leadership ability with calm, rapid response and blameless post‑mortems.
• Strong judgement to balance MVP delivery with long‑term rigor.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on the “why” behind the work.
• Customer empathy to understand internal pain points and deliver effective solutions.
