Senior NPI Supply Chain Expert

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a senior leader to shape high‑complexity new‑product‑introduction (NPI) supply chain programs for its HI business unit. You will guide sourcing strategy, negotiate high‑value contracts and ensure the supply chain meets speed‑to‑market, cost and resilience targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions and structured problem‑solving to mitigate complex supply‑chain risks.
• Mentor team members, share best practices and elevate functional capabilities.
• Develop and implement end‑to‑end supply‑chain strategies from NPI through high‑volume production.
• Negotiate high‑value, complex supplier agreements to secure reliable, cost‑effective material supply.
• Collaborate with engineering, commodity managers and external partners to align technology road‑maps.
• Coordinate program management activities, monitor budgets, timelines and quality throughout the NPI lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of supply‑chain experience, including at least 10 years in semiconductor equipment development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
• Proven track record in program management, cost negotiation and driving cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Strong business acumen with ability to influence senior executives and external stakeholders.
