About the role

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Rheumatology to cover the Sierra/Rockies region, including California, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado. The MSL will act as the scientific and clinical expert for Johnson & Johnson’s innovative products, fostering evidence‑based exchanges with healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a scientific engagement plan aligned with Medical Affairs strategy and prioritized medical objectives.
• Engage in two‑way scientific exchange with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers, identifying trends, unmet needs, and educational gaps.
• Utilize AI tools and MSL insights to uncover opportunities, address provider education needs, and enhance decision‑making.
• Collect and submit high‑quality actionable insights to inform medical strategy and asset planning.
• Provide point‑of‑contact support for investigator‑initiated studies and respond promptly to unsolicited research inquiries.

Required profile

• Doctorate‑level degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent) with post‑graduate therapeutic clinical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of successful MSL experience in a relevant therapeutic area.
• Demonstrated scientific acumen, strong analytical skills, and ability to travel up to 70 % of the time.
