Senior Mechanical Engineer – Nuclear Power

About the role
You will be involved in nuclear power plant systems design, preparing and reviewing modification packages, functional mechanical drawings, and engineering analyses. The position also includes developing cost estimates, interfacing with clients on‑site or remotely, and leading engineering project teams. A hybrid work arrangement is offered, with three days per week in the office.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review modification packages for operating nuclear power plants.
- Create functional mechanical drawings and system schematics.
- Conduct engineering analyses and evaluations to support plant modifications and operations.
- Develop technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
- Evaluate vendor bids and perform studies for modification options.
- Generate engineering cost estimates for client‑requested scopes.
- Visit client offices or plant sites to present engineering status and findings.
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering project teams.
Required profile
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
- Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations applicable to mechanical design of nuclear plants.
- PE license preferred but not required.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (spoken, read, and written).
- Authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship).
