Senior Materials Planning Coordinator

About the role

As a Senior Materials Planning Coordinator you will analyze the materials required to manufacture pet food products and convert those requirements into orders. You will manage inventory levels and ingredient rejections while reviewing production schedules in collaboration with Production and QA to determine material needs and resolve handling issues.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize SAP TM to manage transportation of inbound orders and communicate with carriers regarding invoicing or other needs.
• Review production schedules and collaborate with department supervisors to determine and track material requirements using product and manufacturing knowledge.
• Manage inventory accuracy at the plant and external storage, investigate variances, and coordinate adjustments with accounting.
• Oversee the fresh ingredient process to ensure production and QA requirements are met.
• Handle invoice discrepancies on raw material orders and review GR/IR monthly reports.
• Collaborate with QA, Production, and vendors to manage holds or rejected ingredients and resolve handling or quality issues.
• Assist with scheduling responsibilities as needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in procurement, materials planning, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, military, or a related environment.

Required skills

• SAP TM.
