Senior Manager, Strategic Finance

About the role

Chainalysis is seeking a Senior Manager of Strategic Finance to join its Finance team in New York. Reporting to the VP Head of Finance, you will partner with senior leadership to shape long‑term financial models, evaluate growth opportunities, and guide capital allocation decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead valuation work, TAM analyses and market research, including competitive intelligence.
• Analyze pricing and packaging models, track market pricing trends, and influence pricing strategy.
• Own and enhance the company’s long‑range financial model, building dynamic scenarios for strategic decisions.
• Create sophisticated financial models and scenario analyses for M&A, partnerships, and new market entry.
• Synthesize outputs into executive‑ready narratives and track post‑investment performance.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring operational feasibility of strategic recommendations.

Required profile

• 6–9 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, FP&A, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong executive presentation skills and ability to craft clear investment theses.
• Excellent financial modeling skills with experience handling large data sets in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Comfort with ambiguity, entrepreneurial orientation, and ability to make high‑quality decisions with incomplete information.
• Experience in SaaS, data, or technology companies is preferred; familiarity with blockchain or crypto is a plus.
