Senior Manager – Revenue Accounting

About the role

Shield AI is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead its revenue accounting function. The role oversees end‑to‑end revenue processes, ensures compliance with ASC 606, and partners with cross‑functional teams to support rapid international growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full revenue accounting cycle, including contract review, revenue recognition, monthly close, and operational execution.
• Review and reconcile revenue‑related balances such as deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, contract assets, and liabilities.
• Partner with Sales, Legal, Business Development, and Finance to approve customer contracts and determine appropriate revenue treatment.
• Act as the company’s ASC 606 subject‑matter expert, providing guidance on complex arrangements, variable consideration, and performance obligations.
• Design, document, and improve order‑to‑cash processes to enhance accuracy, scalability, and internal controls.
• Identify process gaps and lead initiatives for automation, audit readiness, and risk mitigation.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to technical accounting inquiries.
• Mentor and develop revenue accounting team members.

Required profile

• 8+ years of accounting experience with deep expertise in technical revenue accounting under ASC 606 or IFRS 15.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• Proven experience managing revenue close activities, journal entries, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of order‑to‑cash processes and their impact on billing, collections, and reporting.
• Experience scaling accounting processes in high‑growth or complex environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with legal, sales, finance, and audit teams.
