Senior Manager, Infrastructure Lease Accounting

About the role

Anthropic is looking for a Senior Manager to lead the accounting of its rapidly expanding AI infrastructure lease portfolio. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and scalable processes that support the company’s $50bn investment in computing infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end accounting for the infrastructure lease portfolio, including monthly close, reconciliations, roll‑forwards and variance analysis.
• Apply ASC 842 expertise to complex lease arrangements, classifications, measurements, modifications and reassessments.
• Partner with Real Estate, Legal and Finance during contract negotiations to clarify accounting implications.
• Serve as a trusted finance partner to non‑finance stakeholders, translating financial impacts into actionable insights.
• Improve upstream data pipelines and design scalable systems, processes and controls for the growing lease portfolio.
• Mentor accounting team members and act as the primary liaison with external auditors on lease matters.
• Drive automation and process improvements, leveraging AI tools to enhance reporting efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of ASC 842, especially for infrastructure, data‑center or compute‑related leases.
• Proven experience managing a sizable lease portfolio in a high‑growth environment.
