Senior Manager – Infrastructure Asset Accounting

About the role

Anthropic is looking for a Senior Manager to lead the accounting of its infrastructure assets throughout their full lifecycle. You will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy and operational scalability of the assets that support the company’s $50B+ investment in computing infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end accounting for infrastructure assets, from component cost accumulation to disposal.
• Build and maintain detailed transaction flows mapping assets from purchase order through deployment and service.
• Evaluate accounting implications of new supplier and procurement arrangements and document conclusions.
• Apply ASC 360 expertise (capitalization, useful lives, impairment, disposals, asset retirement obligations) together with cost‑accounting concepts such as BOM cost accumulation, landed cost, and obsolescence reserves.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Data Center Operations, Legal and Finance during contract negotiation to clarify accounting impacts.
• Serve as a trusted finance partner to non‑finance stakeholders, explaining financial‑statement impacts in clear terms.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to improve upstream data pipelines, serial‑number‑level tracking, and existence controls for high‑value components.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in accounting for infrastructure or fixed‑asset portfolios.
• Deep knowledge of ASC 360 and related cost‑accounting principles.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and translate technical accounting concepts into business decisions.
