Senior Legal Tech Reporter

About the role

Law360, a LexisNexis company, is seeking a Senior Legal Tech Reporter to lead coverage of the rapid adoption of technology and artificial intelligence in the legal sector. The reporter will work from one of our U.S. hubs—Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, or Washington, DC—to deliver breaking news and in‑depth analysis that helps lawyers, firms, courts and regulators understand how tech is reshaping legal practice.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, investigate and publish breaking stories on legal technology, generative AI and related regulatory developments.
• Produce quick‑turn news pieces as well as long‑form features that contextualize industry trends.
• Build and maintain a network of sources across law firms, startups, investors, academia and government agencies.
• Generate exclusive scoops and maintain Law360’s reputation for authoritative legal journalism.
• Collaborate with editors and multimedia teams to enhance story impact.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a journalist covering technology, law or related beats.
• Strong news judgment and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Deep curiosity about AI tools, legal‑tech startups and the economics of legal services.
• Excellent written communication and storytelling skills.
