Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

Invesco is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to lead comprehensive internal audits across business areas. The role involves planning, executing, and reporting on audit engagements while collaborating with senior management. This position is based in Atlanta, GA, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audits of business areas under direction of Internal Audit management.
• Obtain understanding of processes, evaluate design of key controls, and develop audit programs.
• Perform audit testing, document work papers, and identify control weaknesses.
• Conduct entry and exit meetings with business area management and draft audit reports for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in external/internal audit, risk management, or compliance.
• At least 3 years of experience planning and executing audits, managing engagements, and reporting findings.
• Minimum 2 years evaluating internal controls, applying COSO and SOX frameworks, and using data‑analytics techniques.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Data‑analytics capabilities for audit testing.
