Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to lead audit engagements across its global operations. The role involves executing audit programs, identifying control gaps, and driving remediation in a fast‑paced, technology‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute audit programs within defined timelines, addressing complex and high‑risk areas with professional judgment.
• Participate in audit planning for operational, regional, process‑review and supplier audits, conducting interviews and walkthroughs.
• Perform fieldwork in accordance with IIA standards, design testing attributes, and maintain complete work papers.
• Identify control gaps, risks and improvement opportunities; draft findings and present them to stakeholders and the CAE.
• Support junior auditors during planning, fieldwork and issue resolution.
• Ensure all audit documentation is stored in Optro and manage follow‑up actions and remediation tracking.
• Lead small‑scale operational audits or advisory projects, aligning objectives with stakeholder expectations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Experience guiding and supporting junior audit team members.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to apply professional judgment to audit scope and methodology.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Optro audit documentation system.
• Knowledge of IIA audit standards and RACI framework.
