Senior Hardware Engineer – RTL & High-Level Synthesis

About the role

Code Metal is looking for a senior hardware engineer to lead the creation of production‑ready RTL from high‑level algorithm descriptions. The role focuses on integrating high‑level synthesis (HLS) tools and generating optimized, human‑auditable RTL. You will work closely with AI‑driven verification capabilities and collaborate across hardware and software teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop C++ and post‑HLS passes to produce readable, optimized RTL.
• Leverage Code Metal’s agentic AI and verification platform to ensure correctness.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, including automated RTL simulation, functional verification, and regression testing.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience writing RTL or using commercial HLS tools (e.g., Catapult, Vitis HLS, Stratus).
• Strong hardware modeling background with fixed‑point arithmetic, bit‑accurate types, and synthesis pragmas.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, toolchain automation, and testing.
• Solid debugging and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with simulation and functional verification flows.
