Senior Financial Analyst - Pro Strategy

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst for its Pro Strategy team. The analyst supports financial planning, reporting, forecasting and strategic decision-making for recently acquired businesses such as SRS Distribution, GMS and Mingledorff's, while keeping alignment with enterprise financial objectives and reporting standards. The role acts as a finance partner, managing core financial processes, supporting acquisition integration and giving actionable insights to senior leadership. It reports to a Manager or Sr. Manager and has no direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Planning, forecasting and reporting (about 40%): lead annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and monthly financial reports, use financial modeling for detailed forecasts and variance analysis, deliver reporting to senior leadership, and support month-end close.
• Preparing and delivering insights (about 30%): develop and present financial analysis visually and verbally to business leaders, answer questions from a financial controllership perspective, and give actionable recommendations.
• Cross-functional collaboration (about 20%): work with business leaders up to and including VPs and with finance and accounting operations partners to link business and financial stories.
• Project-based analysis (about 10%): run detailed analyses for investment initiatives and capital allocation, model what-if scenarios and explain metric variations.

Required profile

• Aged 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job.
• Typically 2 years of work experience; no prior leadership experience required.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams, draw accurate conclusions from financial documentation and adapt to organizational change.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint, including formatting and tailoring content to the audience.
• Preferred: working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Tableau and presentation software.
• Preferred: basic knowledge of SQL, GBQ and Tableau, and data visualization.
