Senior Financial Analyst, Private Brands

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst for its Private Brands team. The role performs financial analysis to support ongoing financial operations and the allocation of capital for investments, working closely with stakeholders to support strategic initiatives. It reports to a Manager or Sr. Manager and has no direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Planning, forecasting and reporting (about 40%): lead annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and monthly financial reports, use financial modeling for variance analysis, report to senior leadership and support month-end close.
• Preparing and delivering insights (about 30%): present financial analysis visually and verbally to business leaders, give recommendations based on business operations and financial impact.
• Cross-functional collaboration (about 20%): work with business leaders up to VPs and partners with finance and accounting stakeholders to link business and financial stories.
• Project-based analysis (about 10%): analyze investment initiatives and capital allocation, model what-if scenarios and explain metric variations.

Required profile

• Aged 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job; preferred: basic knowledge of SQL, GBQ and Tableau.
• Preferred: demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions, accuracy in drawing conclusions from financial documents, agility in learning new tools, attention to detail and strong strategic thinking.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint, including formatting and tailoring content to the audience.
• Preferred: working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Tableau and presentation software such as PowerPoint.
