Senior Field Service Rotator (AMS)

About the role

The Senior Field Service Rotator (AMS) performs advanced maintenance, installation and overhaul of gas compression packages, providing on‑site support to customers in the energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Enerflex professionally while delivering outstanding customer service.
• Submit accurate field service reports, expense reports and timesheets daily.
• Lead, coordinate and train junior field technicians.
• Diagnose engine and compressor failures independently.
• Perform rebuilds and overhauls of compressors, engines and controls in adverse field conditions.
• Troubleshoot advanced electrical systems and control panels (Murphy, Altronic, Allen Bradley).
• Conduct engine tuning and emissions adjustments for CAT and Waukesha units.
• Install, commission and start‑up new gas‑fired and electric driven compressor packages without supervision.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with advanced vocational/technical training.
• 10+ years of relevant field service experience.
• Current certifications on CAT and Waukesha equipment (e.g., CAT Gas I, CAT Electrical, Waukesha VHP, etc.).
• Ability to provide preventative and corrective mechanical service on refrigeration and process systems.
• Physical capability to lift up to 75 lb occasionally and work in hot, humid, cold, rainy or muddy conditions.

Required skills

• Advanced troubleshooting of gas compressor engines and reciprocating/screw compressors.
• Rebuild and overhaul of compressors, engines and control systems.
• Installation, commissioning and start‑up of gas‑fired and electric driven compressor packages.
• Electrical diagnostics on control panels (Murphy, Altronic, Allen Bradley).
• Engine tuning and emissions adjustment for CAT and Waukesha units.
• Use of micrometers, pressure gauges and electronic diagnostic equipment.
