Senior Estimator – Electrical Construction

About the role

The Senior Estimator will join the pre‑construction team of a regional electrical contractor, supporting projects across the Southeast. This full‑time position focuses on preparing competitive bids for commercial, industrial, healthcare and data‑center projects valued between $5M and $50M.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates using Accubid software.
• Analyze drawings, specifications and bid documents to develop accurate takeoffs and pricing.
• Assemble complete bid packages for projects ranging from $5M to $50M.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and leadership during the pre‑construction phase.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Identify risks, cost‑saving opportunities and value‑engineering options.
• Participate in bid reviews and client presentations as needed.
• Maintain relationships with clients, vendors and industry partners.

Required profile

• 5+ years of electrical estimating experience in commercial or industrial construction.
• Proven ability to bid projects in the $5M–$50M range.
• Strong proficiency with Accubid or comparable electrical estimating software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field (preferred but not required).
• Experience with one or more of the following sectors: commercial construction, industrial facilities, healthcare projects, data centers.
