Senior Environmental Professional & Assistant Project Manager

About the role
We are expanding our environmental practice in Connecticut and seek a senior professional to support project managers and lead technical work on a variety of environmental projects. This hybrid role offers the chance to mentor junior staff while growing into project and client management responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Support project managers and provide technical leadership on site investigations, remediation, brownfield redevelopment, and permitting.
- Assist with project coordination, scheduling, and oversight of field staff and subcontractors.
- Prepare high‑quality technical reports, regulatory documentation, and client deliverables in line with Connecticut regulations.
- Collaborate with clients, regulators, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Contribute to proposal development, client engagement, and business development efforts.
- Mentor early‑career technical staff and help build team capabilities.
- Support a diverse client base including utility, industrial, commercial, and development projects.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, environmental science, geoscience, or a related field.
- 6+ years of environmental consulting experience.
- Strong understanding of Connecticut environmental regulations and remediation programs.
- Ability and desire to obtain Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) certification within 2–3 years.
- Experience managing environmental investigation and remediation projects.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Interest in growing into project and client management roles.
- Remediation design experience is a plus.
