Senior Engineer – Technical Staff

About the role

Savvy is looking for a senior engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex product and platform work where AI meets fiduciary advice. You will own end‑to‑end delivery of high‑impact projects and shape how the platform evolves as we scale.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of complex product features and platform systems, from scoping and architecture through production and iteration.
• Establish engineering patterns and standards for the team: how we build, test, observe, and iterate across both product and platform work.
• Apply and champion AI tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and others) to accelerate output and raise team velocity.
• Drive architectural decisions on data models, service boundaries, and system trade‑offs, communicating clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers, provide substantive feedback, and serve as a go‑to resource for technical judgment.
• Partner with Product and Design to shape scope and de‑risk execution on high‑ambiguity problems.
• Work directly with customers (financial advisors) to understand their workflows and incorporate that context into development.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Aggressive use of AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, etc.) and ability to translate emerging tech into concrete decisions.
• Proven track record of leading end‑to‑end projects with measurable business impact.
• Strong full‑stack or platform engineering depth (Rails, React, Next.js, PostgreSQL, GraphQL).
• Excellent system design instincts and technical communication skills.
