Senior Director, U.S. Public Affairs

About the role

Servier, a Boston‑based biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a Senior Director to lead its U.S. Public Affairs function. The role combines public policy, government affairs, and strategic external engagement, advising senior leadership on healthcare policy and political developments that affect the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated U.S. Public Affairs strategy aligned with enterprise priorities, portfolio plans, and launch objectives.
• Serve as senior advisor to U.S. leadership on healthcare policy, legislative and regulatory developments, translating complex issues into clear business implications.
• Lead public policy and government affairs efforts at federal and state levels, defining Servier’s positions on pricing, reimbursement, coding, and patient access.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with policymakers, regulators, trade associations, and other stakeholders, representing Servier in coalitions and industry forums.
• Oversee the creation of policy briefs, comment letters, executive updates, and advocacy materials while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Coach and develop the U.S. Public Affairs team, establishing operating models, budgets, and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, health policy, political science, law, economics, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in U.S. public affairs, healthcare policy, government affairs, or reimbursement policy.
• Significant experience in the biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare sector with deep understanding of U.S. legislative, regulatory, and reimbursement processes.
• Proven track record of developing and executing high‑impact advocacy strategies and advising senior executives on policy matters.
