Senior Director, Strategic Pricing & Planning

About the role

Alcon is seeking a senior leader to define and execute its global pricing strategy for Surgical and Vision Care businesses. The role will drive value‑based pricing, profitability, and market access across all geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead Alcon’s global pricing vision, strategy, and roadmap across all franchises and regions.
• Establish enterprise‑wide pricing principles, value frameworks, and governance standards.
• Oversee portfolio pricing for product launches, line extensions, acquisitions, and lifecycle management.
• Partner with Market Access, HEOR, Finance and Commercial Excellence to align pricing with reimbursement and market access strategies.
• Chair global pricing governance forums and ensure compliance and disciplined exception management.
• Build and develop a high‑performing global pricing organization, including capability development and succession planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Life Sciences or related).
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience with at least 8 years in senior leadership roles.
• Proven experience in global MedTech or pharmaceutical pricing, pricing transformation and technology deployment.
• Strong understanding of reimbursement systems, health economics and market access environments.
