Senior Director, Professional Relations & Operations

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a senior leader to head Global Professional Relations & Operations for its Orthopedics business within the DePuy Synthes organization. The role will oversee the full lifecycle of healthcare professional (HCP) engagements, educational grants, and charitable contributions across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Define global strategy, operating model and governance for HCP engagements, including needs assessment, contracting, invoicing, and transfer‑of‑value reporting.
• Lead North America end‑to‑end workflows for HCP engagement, educational grants, and charitable contributions, ensuring legal and compliance handoffs.
• Drive global systems portfolio strategy, prioritising roadmaps, integrations, data models and vendor relationships to enable a unified operating model.
• Oversee vendor selection, performance management and service delivery across centralized and regional teams.
• Partner with Commercial, Medical Affairs, R&D, Legal, Finance and regional teams to ensure compliant, scalable interactions with HCPs worldwide.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA/MS) preferred.
• 10+ years in professional relations, HCP engagement operations or similar roles within MedTech or regulated life‑science industries.
• Proven experience leading global, multi‑region programs and standardisation across NA, EMEA, APAC and LATAM.
• Strong executive presence, business intuition and ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience with platforms such as Cvent, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Sirion or equivalents.
• Knowledge of data‑lake concepts, ETL pipelines and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with PMP, Product Owner/Scrum, Agile or similar certifications.
• Understanding of HCP compliance requirements and transfer‑of‑value reporting.
