Senior Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations

About the role

The Senior Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations leads the university’s foundation and corporate fundraising program, reporting to the Executive Associate Vice President of Development. This position shapes strategy, cultivates major gifts, and oversees a team to advance the university’s strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Direct research to identify funding opportunities aligned with the university’s strategic direction.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with principal‑level foundation and corporate partners.
• Lead the development of complex grant applications and funding proposals supporting scholarships, programs, and outreach.
• Oversee stewardship strategy and deliver timely, compelling impact reporting for donors.
• Supervise and mentor the Foundation and Corporate Relations Officer, guiding prospect strategy and portfolio management.
• Represent Institutional Advancement at high‑visibility university and community events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or Master’s degree with reduced experience requirement) and at least five years of experience securing major grants from foundations and corporations.
• Demonstrated success obtaining six‑figure to seven‑figure gifts and managing large‑scale fundraising portfolios.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to write formal proposals and grant applications.
• Positive, collaborative, service‑oriented attitude and ability to work across university units.
