Senior Director, Credit Asset Management – Los Angeles

About the role

Invesco is seeking a Senior Director to lead Credit Asset Management for its commercial real‑estate loan portfolio in Los Angeles. The role oversees multiple loan portfolios, directs third‑party asset managers, and drives loan modifications, workouts and recovery strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a third‑party asset management team of 15 employees, set standards, monitor performance and ensure alignment with Invesco policies.
• Train and evaluate asset managers, make hiring, promotion, performance‑improvement and termination decisions.
• Negotiate and oversee third‑party contracts and ensure timely completion of scope of work.
• Coordinate communication between Invesco’s in‑house credit team and external asset managers.
• Monitor portfolio performance, focusing on watchlist, sub‑performing and non‑performing loans.
• Oversee loan asset management activities such as payoffs, pre‑payments, lease reviews, SNDAs, reserves, escrows, draw requests, cash management, financial reporting and borrower requests.
• Lead loss‑minimizing recovery strategies including note sales, restructurings and foreclosures.
• Collaborate with loan originators, accounting, capital markets, lenders and legal counsel to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Drive the risk‑rating process, identify problem loans and develop monitoring plans.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in credit asset management for commercial real‑estate loans.
• Proven ability to lead and develop third‑party asset management teams.
• Strong knowledge of loan modifications, workouts, restructurings and recovery tactics.
• Excellent collaboration skills with internal credit, accounting, capital‑markets and legal functions.
