Senior Developer Experience Engineer

About the role

The Developer Experience team at Sentry is expanding in San Francisco and is looking for a hands‑on Senior Engineer to shape our developer documentation and community. This hybrid, on‑site role partners with product, engineering and marketing to bring new features to life and help developers adopt Sentry quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Attend, host, and organize developer events and meet‑ups to engage the community.
• Create technical content—tutorials, blog series, videos—that excites developers to build with Sentry.
• Collaborate side‑by‑side with Engineering, Product, Design, Sales Engineering and Marketing to craft clear product narratives.
• Gather feedback from users and the broader developer ecosystem to influence product direction.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years in a developer advocacy, evangelism or education role with measurable content impact.
• Proven track record of publishing technical tutorials, videos or blog series for professional developers.
• Active participation in technical communities (e.g., Discord, Stack Overflow, Reddit, Twitter).
• Strong written and verbal communication, humility and a dry sense of humor.
